MI Coaching offers motivational interviewing training bespoke to your needs, ranging from workshops and coaching sessions to larger commissions for organisations that have staff groups wanting to become MI proficient.

We work with individuals looking to develop their skills, commissioners looking at staff or organisational level training and with researchers looking to train teams or interventionists in MI.

We are research-active across a number of projects and are able to take on roles that include collaborator, consultant and advisor. Our focus in this work is on practitioner competence and MI intervention fidelity.

MI Coaching is run by Judith Carpenter and Nina Gobat. Both of us are experienced trainers, active members of the Motivational Interviewing Network of trainers (MINT) and regularly use validated MI coding instruments in our work. Stephen Rollnick, co-founder of MI, provides support and mentorship.

What is Motivational Interviewing?
